According to the organizing committee for the conference arrived more than 200 representatives of 40 countries from Europe, America, Asia, Middle East, Africa and CIS.

On the first day of the international conference for the exchanging of experiences and views for the participants were organized visits of small businesses, including specialized agricultural companies, farmers, processors, storage and other facilities in Tashkent and Samarkand regions.

In this regard, the participants visited our Uzbek-Swiss joint venture "Lazzat Karamel". During the event at the factory "LazzatKaramel", the guests got acquainted with the modern German-Italian equipment for the production of caramel products and were impressed with the work of the workers and technologists of "LazzatKaramel", who have been trained in the guiding European training centers and enterprises. In addition, conference guests were amazed by the quality and taste of products sold under the brand name "LazzatKaramel" which is registered in Switzerland with registered number: #1169628 from 08/08/2013 and #MGU25817 from 08/04/2014 in Uzbekistan and in many countries of the world. At this project there were created more than 60 new jobs. Nowadays the factory produces more than 30 kinds of caramel products.

JV "LAZZAT KARAMEL" was established in November 2011 as a Limited Liability Company, in association with NBC New Business Company AG (Switzerland). The main activity - is manufacturing of confectionery products and sweets. Authorized capital of JV "LAZZAT KARAMEL" amounts to USD 1,904,120.00, of which 60 percent is hold by Swiss investment holding NBC New Business Company AG. According to the ongoing economic reforms in Uzbekistan, the main strategy of which is development of a competitive production and saturation of market with high-quality products, the company JV "LAZZAT KARAMEL" serves to provide a new, competitive production and is engaged in the project of technological manufacturing of confectionery products – assorted Caramel (candies).

This project provides for the purchase of a new complex of modern, efficient equipment for the quality production of caramel from the company "Klockner Hansel Processing GmbH" (Germany) www.kloeckner-haensel.de

The manufacturing line will produce a wide range of confectionary products, responding to a high demand on the territory of Republic of Uzbekistan. The range of produced products is quite wide: the candies/caramel will be made with a variety of flavors, fillings and in different shapes.

Key figures of the project:

• The total production capacity will amount to 3.84 million kg of final product per year
• The maximum mastering of production - 90 percent in 2013

The main purpose of the project is to produce a new high-quality food products in accordance with international standards. Also, the further aim of the project is the gradual expansion of new production, which will increase the number and further expand of the range of import-substituting goods.

The three main components:

• German technology
• Swiss confectionery tradition and know-how
• The Uzbek environmental friendly ingredients

The total production area of the enterprise is 4235.41 square meters. The company's territory has convenient road and railway access routes. Products are stored in 8 cold rooms, modernised in the year 2011, with a total capacity of 1224 tonnes. The rooms consist of 4 ULO rooms of 613 tonnes, 2 AC rooms of 305 tonnes and 2 rooms of 306 tonnes with the unique Palliflex system.

The rooms are equipped with industrial refrigeration equipment with a controlled atmosphere for product storage, manufactured by "Plattenhard+Wirt GmbH" company (Germany) and the Polliflex system of fruit block storage (Holland). Storage in a controlled atmosphere ULO is a leading-edge technology, providing significant increase in the shelf life of products with quality maintained. The entire storage process, starting from acceptation of the products, is automatically monitored via computers which are remotely connected to the control centre of "Plattenhard+Wirt GmbH" in Munich (Germany). » view gallery
